Since 2007, manufactured cigarettes have declined by 16%
Total cigarette sales including Roll Your Own cigarettes have declined by 14.5% or 16 Billion sticks.

RYO Cigarettes as a share of market increased from 6.6% of the total cigarette market to 8.5% of the total cigarette market in the first five months of 2011. This is a 29% increase in Roll Your Own over 2011. It is a 1.9% increase in total market share in just a year.
Cigarette Sales represent 35% of total sales in the average convenience store. If you operate a conveinence store and aren't developing a Roll Your Own program, you are going to lose sales.
The number of Roll Your Own cigarettes increased by 2.8 Billion cigarettes in 2010. This increase created the need for 286,716 cases of cigarette tubes.

MARGIN
Margin is the difference between cost & retail. Margin per Carton will vary between States. Retail prices should be set to obtain margins of $14 to $40 a Carton.
THE MACH ONE SHREDDER
The Mach One Tobacco shredder is a heavy duty shredder that shreds a pound of tobacco leaves in about one minute. It makes a nice shred. A pound of leaves makes about two and one half cartons of cigarettes. Your customer has a personal exemption to make a tobacco product. The Mach One Shredder is $275 if you buy tobacco from us.
It is $675 if you just want the shredder.
PIPE TOBACCO REDEFINITION
It is likely that most of what is now known as pipe tobacco
will be redefined sometime before December 31, 2011.

Federal excise tax purposes based on certain physical characteristics of the
two products. This reopening of the comment period solicits comments from
the public on certain issues that were raised in public comments received in
response to Notice No. 106. This notice also sets forth for possible public
comment the results of preliminary laboratory analyses conducted by TTB.
